Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the H&M Windsor Spray Foam Insulation website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site, asking for a quote or booking a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you go further.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site or book work with us. You can always contact us first if anything isn't clear.
What we do
H&M Windsor Spray Foam Insulation is an insulation contractor based in Windsor, CA. We insulate attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements. We also handle air sealing, which means closing gaps before we insulate, plus vapor barriers and the removal of old insulation, for homes and commercial buildings in Windsor and the cities around it.
The home page and our service pages describe this work in general terms. What we actually do on your job is what's written in your quote or agreement, because every attic and crawl space is different once we get up there.
Estimates and pricing
Quotes are free, done on site and obligation-free. We base each quote on what we see at your house, such as the size of the space, what's already up there, how easy it is to get to and the material you choose.
A quote is our best figure for the work it describes. If we open up the job and find something we couldn't see before, like wet or damaged insulation, droppings or framing problems, we'll stop, explain it and get your OK before doing extra work or changing the price.
Prices on any written quote hold for the period the quote states. After that, we may need to update it, because material costs and our schedule change.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll set a start date with you once you accept a quote. Weather, material deliveries and conditions at the house can move a date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and find the next workable time.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work areas and to clear stored items from the attic, crawl space or rooms we need to reach, unless your quote says we'll handle that. Some materials, foam especially, need you and your pets out of the house for a set time, and you agree to follow the re-entry time our crew gives you for your job.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (707) 687-4455 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special material or turned other work away for your date, we may charge for those costs, and your quote or agreement will say how that works.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written in your quote or agreement. Unless that says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled, and you're responsible for reasonable costs we have to spend collecting what's owed, to the extent California law allows.
Our work and warranty
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied, call us and we'll come back to look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship.
Any written warranty you receive for your job, and any warranty a material maker offers, sets out exactly what's covered and for how long. Beyond those, and to the extent the law allows, we don't make other promises about the work, including specific savings on your power bill or a specific comfort result, because those depend on your house, your equipment and how you use them.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from leaks, pests, other trades, later changes to the house or anything outside our control.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, our total liability for any claim about our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We're not responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room or lost income.
Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for harm caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand the work. It isn't a quote, and it doesn't replace an on-site look at your house.
The words, photos and design on this site belong to H&M Windsor Spray Foam Insulation. Please don't copy them for commercial use without our permission. If the site links to another site, we don't control that site and aren't responsible for what it says.
Settling a disagreement
If something goes wrong, call us at (707) 687-4455 or reach us through the contact page first, because most problems get fixed fastest by talking them through. We'll reply within 1 business day.
If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to a court with jurisdiction in Sonoma County, California, including small claims court where the amount qualifies.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a job already covered by a signed quote or agreement unless we both agree in writing.
